Wood carved harp with with four strings and animal hide covering the resonator. Anthropomorphic carved male figure with arms to side. Carefully elaborated figurative harps called "Domu" testify to the importance of music to the Mangbetu court. The Mangbetu peoples of North-eastern DRC used the harps to accompany the songs of poets during court ceremonies. Signs of usage and age.
