Seated Baule Bronze King and Queen, Baule Peoples, Cote d'Ivoire
Cast bronze ancestral figures of a King and Queen. Both sit on stools which are separate from the figures. The king holds a staff topped with a bird in his right hand. The Queen holds an unadorned staff. Her right leg has a large crack in it.
Acquired in 2018 from the estate of Jacques Gansler
