Beaded Buffalo Helmet Headdress, Bamileke Tribe, Cameroon

A large, dramatic, helmet headdress covered with colorful beads on a woven basket ringed by cowrie shells. Sits on a custom made metal stand.  The buffalo helmet served for the one who represents the king during ceremonial dances.
