Product Info

Everything Kizmetz carries is hand crafted. Any exceptions are noted. Since each item is handmade variations will occur from piece to piece. All our wood products are made with solid wood and will have checks, marks, and knots owing to the unique nature of wood. Tuareg leather boxes will have slight variations in the leather color due to the leather used and the natural dyeing process. If you have questions about any item just ask. We directly source all of our products, often traveling to the country and village to purchase. We are happy to send additional pictures or provide additional information on any of our items.

Taxes

Sales to Virginia residents are subject to 6% sales tax. This also applies to items picked up in-person from our warehouse in Middleburg or at the office in Arlington, Virginia. Taxes are not collected on other sales shipped to out-of-state buyers.

Ethical Standards

Kizmetz is committed to purchasing Fair Trade, legally-sourced goods. Where possible, we like to buy directly from the artisan eliminating any middleman and giving the artisan what they ask for their work. When we use a coop, it is Fair Trade such as our South African supplier which provides telephone wire baskets as well as beaded animals. For antique items, we buy directly from reputable dealers.
